Six players from TOP 100 WTA singles ranking have shown interest to play at 8th EMPIRE Slovak Open. Tournament will take place in TC EMPIRE club in Trnava from 7th until 15th May 2016.

Slovakian Magdalena Rybarikova (No. 73) and Jana Cepelova (No. 125), Czechs Kristyna Pliskova (No. 90) and Katerina Siniakova (No. 110), German Laura Siegemund (No. 71) and Japanese Kurumi Nara (No. 84) have all signed up for EMPIRE Slovak Open 2016. ITF category tournament organized by club from Trnava, have total prize money of 100 000 USD and from 2013 is also well known as International Slovakian Women’s Championship.

Latvian Anastasija Sevastova from Latvia, another player from TOP 100 also signed up for the tournament and also Zarina Diyas (No. 85) from Kazakhstan. Kristina Kucova from Slovakia will start in qualification of the tournament.

In the main singles draw there will be 32 players, the same number will start the qualifying. Winner from Trnava takes 15 200 USD and 140 points into the WTA rankings, finalist takes 8108 USD and 85 points.
